LEFT: A PICTURE OF THE ORIGINAL THE SAVIOR OIL PAINTING BY ARTIST MICHA RIGHT: A PICTURE OF THE PRINT GICLEE Micha's Giclee Prints on Canvas after Micha has painted her Original Oil Paintings: After Painting her Original Oil Paintings, Micha prints Giclees art reproductions of her original paintings. Art Reproductions Giclée definition/ Art Process: Giclées are Museum quality Fine-Art reproductions, also called Archival Prints. These are the result of highly advanced digital printing technology. A giclee (zhee-CLAY) is a high-resolution reproduction done on a special large format printer. Giclees are produced from digital scans of existing artwork. In addition, Giclees are produced directly from a digital file, A Fine-art Giclée is the closest to an original painting you can get. These artworks are made with an ultra-high-resolution fine-art printer, using seven cartridges of the very finest archival inks on acid free paper... Giclées are truly durable "Museum quality" Fine-Art reproductions. The color and artistic value, quality of materials, and overall looks make a Fine-art Giclée much more valuable and much more expensive to produce than any other type of reproduction. Giclées are usually accompanied by an Authenticity Certificate" indicating title of the original, and size of the limited edition. A Fine-art Giclée is created by tiny jets spraying millions of droplets of archival, pigmented inks onto a sheet of fine art, acid free paper or onto cotton canvas. This spray of ink, more that 4 million droplets per second, whirls onto paper spinning on a drum at 250 inches per second. Hence the name giclée is French for "fine spray." The resulting image beautifully captures the subtle brushwork, color and emotion of Micha’s original paintings. This process produces exceptional museum quality prints with colors which are interchangeable from the original. and she hand signs and numbers the limited edition. Print Giclée refers to both a category of collectible fine art similar to lithographs and serigraphs, as well as a type of digitally created fine art print. A Giclée reproduction is the highest quality print available in the fine art world today. One can find Giclee’s of master’s paintings on display around the world at finest art galleries & museums. Micha watches over the production process regarding blending, color, blending & contrast and focus accuracy to ensure perfect color prints. After one of Micha’s paintings Original is reproduced as a Giclee’s the canvas is first dried, then coated for strength; then it’s set for Micha’s early inspection named the “Artist’s Proof”, and the Proofing by Micha most usually takes several hours with her master printer to reproduce a Giclée with an accurate representation of the original. Once Micha has given her ending approval Micha then signs the “Artist Proof” where she authorizes reproductions of the original paintings for collectors, galleries & museums…

Micheline E. Abounassar is hoping to spread peace and love around the world with her paintings — starting with His Holiness Pope Benedict XVI.
A copy of her oil painting, “The Savior,” which depicts Jesus Christ, is on her website. Religious officials in Jerusalem saw it there and contacted the Glendale artist.
“They liked it so much and thought is was a great gift for His Holiness,” Abounassar said, who goes by Micha. “And Pope Benedict has a book about Jesus of Nazareth and his spokesman thought my painting depicted the one in his book.”
The painting, a giclee print on archival canvas, was presented to the pope during his visit to Jerusalem on May 12 by Wadie Abunassar, media coordinator of the Pope’s Pilgrimage to the Holy Land.
“The Pope just said ‘Thank You’ and Stood for a moment of respect in front of the ‘Savior’ painting,” Abunassar said in an e-mail.

... Micha Abounassar, 29, first received recognition for her artwork when she was 5, winning first place in her kindergarten class in Lebanon. She drew a church with a nun and people going to pray on one side of the paper and people who were playing and not going to church on the other side. The nun was carrying a rosary with people walking behind her. I was trying to inspire others to go to church," Abounassar said. " They gave me gifts -books and coloring pencils and a rosary. I was carrying so many gifts, I was so small you couldn't see me." Her teacher asked her parents to come in to meet with her and urged them to support her artistic talent, which they continue to do, she said. In her painting of " The Savior, " she said people see what they want to see in it. " I was trying to portray love and peace for humanity, "Abounassar said " It's showing love to everyone. His eyes are blue interpreting sky and ocean, and showing how he cried so much. " The glow on his complexion shows he's human, and not human, she added. " He's more like God, "she said." You can touch and feel him and follow his words and his message of love to humanity." She is now painting the Virgin Mary for the Mary of Nazareth Project, an international center in Nazareth that is in the planning stages, Abounassar said. " Im honored," she said. "I have a passion for Jesus and Mary and the way I paint them, I want them to look real from my heart. I want to inspire hope and love and peace for everyone."...
